Class Descriptions:
| Music For Little Mozarts |
| This special program was created for the 4-6 year old piano student. The class mascots, Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear, will guide your child through this fun and interactive piano course. Along with learning piano skills, the children will participate in activities that include singing, dancing, movement and music theory games. The Music for Little Mozarts classes are limited to 4 children and parental involvement is necessary in the beginning stages. |
| Keyboard Encounters Kids |
| KE Kids is designed for the 7-9 year old piano student by a team of educators at Yamaha. Your children will love how quickly they are playing songs on the piano. The songs they learn will bring a smile to their faces as they begin their musical journey at the piano. Along with their piano skills, KE Kids learn about the instruments of the orchestra and even have the opportunity to play in a Keyboard Band! This innovative program will motivate and inspire your child to enjoy music with their new classmates. Class size is 6-8 students per class. |
| Piano Adventures |
| This creative curriculum has something for students of all ages. Accompanying the main Lesson Book and Theory Book, the Technique and Artistry Book will give your child the skills necessary to express themselves at the piano. The Discovery suggestions by the authors also encourages the students to explore, create and compose at the piano. All classes have the opportunity to play music as an ensemble and experience the different sounds of the orchestra through the exciting MIDI software that will accompany the class. Class size is 6-8 students per class. |
| The Adult Hobbyist |
| If you did not have the opportunity to study the piano as a child, didn't appreciate your piano lessons as a child or play a little and just want to play for fun, we have a class for you! Your Adult Hobbyist Class will teach you how to read and play music of all styles, how to experience music with a group, how to bring immediate enjoyment to your practice sessions with digital pianos and much, much more. Whether you are a complete beginner pr play a little, come join the fun and allow our great team of teachers to make your dream of playing the piano a reality. Morning, afternoon and evening classes are available. |
| Performing Ensemble |
| This new addition to our offerings is a special "by invitation only" class. As teachers become acquainted with their students, they will nominate students to participate in the class and perform at functions during the year. Criteria for selection will include the ability to work as a team, willingness to spend extra time practicing and attitude. This inter-generational digital piano ensemble will be in addition to the students regular lesson. |
